UPDATE: I finally wrote a new “what’s on my iPhone” posts about my iPhone XR and all the apps I’m loving in 2021. Make sure you check it out here.
For today’s post, I wanted to do something personal and fun. I will be taking you through all the apps I have on my iPhone that help me to stay on track and motivated.
I will also be sharing my favorite and top apps that I feel like everyone needs especially as a blogger or an entrepreneur or even a college student. Let’s get started!
On my homepage, you can see I have all the normal software that comes with everyone’s iPhone. We have the App Store, camera, photos, clock, maps, etc. I think the most important to me here in the App Store, photos, FaceTime, settings, and notes. Everything else doesn’t bother me and there are some I have never checked out like stocks, maps, and home. And also, can we take a minute to appreciate my home screen wallpaper? It’s a marble background that I got from Pinterest. It’s aesthetically pleasing and I just love how clean it looks and makes all the apps stand out.
When you swipe right, that’s where all my favorite apps live. As you can see, I categorized everything based on what purpose I use them for. I have the Social folder, blogging folder, photo folder, video folder, Islam folder(yes, I’m a Muslim), reading folder, shopping folder, games folder, and others folder. I will now talk about each app in each folder starting with the social folder.
Social folder
Table of Contents
This is where all my social media apps are. My favorites are Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. I use these three the most because they are very helpful and entertaining.
I go on Pinterest to find solutions to my problems, looking for inspirations and see beautiful quotes. It’s truly an amazing application and I think everyone should have it. And as a blogger, Pinterest is my number one source of traffic. That’s where most of my audience comes from. It’s a very powerful app for generating sales, especially when paired with tailwind. You can follow me here to see all my boards and be the first one to see my new posts.
The next one is Instagram. I love love love Instagram because it’s a social media based on visuals. I go on Instagram almost every single day of my life. It’s just An amazing app and a great source for inspiration and you get to see what your fellow mates are doing. You can follow me here and yes, I do follow back.
And then we have Twitter. I use my twitter for personal entertainment and not for business yet but I have an account. Twitter is where all the most real people are! Trust me on this one. Unlike Instagram where everyone tries to live a good life just to impress other people, Twitter is a place where you can relate to a lot of people. From house life to college to even what’s happening around the world. To be very honest, Twitter is a very educational app because I have learned a lot from it. It is my daily newspaper. You can also start utilizing it well once you start following the right people and you can start that by following me. Follow me here.
The rest such as Snapchat, Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp are just for chatting with family and friends. I love them too but don’t use them as much. Make sure you’re following my Facebook page though.
The next folder is the blogging folder.
Here is where I have all the apps that make my blogging life easier and faster. Let’s look at them one after the other:
Asana:
asana is a lifesaver. I don’t know how my life will be without it. I use Asana for a lot of things Like to plan out posts, jot down ideas, set reminders, and even plan out my month. It is super helpful and handy and it good part is it’s free. You can even add team members so that you guys can work together but I haven’t tried that feature yet. I’m still flying solo!
Buffer:
have you ever wondered how I am always posting all the time on twitter and Facebook? Well, buffer is my sidekick here. I use buffer to schedule posts for an entire week so that I can have more time to focus on other things. It is very easy to use and ever since I started using it, I have reduced the time I waste on social media by 45%. Very great and I will recommend it for any blogger out there and entrepreneur. And let’s not forget the fact that it’s free. Yes, you don’t need to pay a dime although you can upgrade to access more features I think the free plan is very good.
Canva:
if you don’t know Canva by now, you’re seriously living under the rock! Can we please take a moment to appreciate the creators of Canva because this app has been saving lives since 2016! Want to make a flyer? Use Canva, want to make an ebook? Reach for Canva. Want to create worksheets? Open Canva. Want to simply make a birthday card? Just download Canva. I use Canva to make any digital graphics. From my ebooks to pins and even my blog logo! Yes, it’s that amazing and you don’t need to have any knowledge of photoshop or illustrator. It’s very easy to use with the drag and drop feature and it’s COMPLETELY free.
WordPress:
as a blogger, WordPress is a must-have! I use it to quickly reply to comments, read posts from fellow bloggers, check my stats, or even publish a post. It is super handy because I don’t have to always be on my laptop.
Planoly:
wondering why my Instagram account looks so organized and aesthetically pleasing? Well, it’s all thanks to Planoly! I use this app to schedule Instagram posts in advance and see how my feed will look before I show the world. It also comes with the automation feature which means you can set everything on autopilot once you’re done scheduling. How amazing is that?
Grammarly:
this is a must-have app. When you install the app, you get the Grammarly keyboard which you can switch to at any time and it will be correcting your writing as you’re typing it. The site is even better because you can upload a whole chunk of essay and it will correct everything for you. From spelling mistakes to punctuation to even sentence structure. You need to try it out, especially the website version.
Unfollowers:
I don’t normally use this app a lot but it’s very useful to check who has unfollowed you on Instagram. You also get to see your average stats which is amazing and other things.
I also wrote about my favorite apps that I use to stay organized and productive so go check it out too.
Photos folder:
Here is where everything regarding my photos is.
VSCO Cam:
this is an amazing app. I love using it because it is soo easy to use and they have a lot of filters and presets to take your pictures to another level! A must-have if you want to up your Instagram game.
Facetune: this was an app I came to know about from Alisha Ashley. She once posted a video on her YouTube channel about how she edits her pictures and she mentioned and used this app and I knew I had to try it out and trust me, it is fire! You get to smooth out your facade, hide blemishes, remove shine, and soo many things! It is very good for a free app but if you’re serious about taking your images to the next level, I highly recommend you purchase the premium plan. Very affordable and worth every cent.
Unsplash:
this app has been a lifesaver since day one to be very honest. As a college student, I don’t always have the time to be snapping pictures for my Instagram or blogposts. That’s where Unsplash comes into play.
Unsplash is an app that collects amazing pictures from amazing photographers for you all in one place. They are all free for personal and commercial use with no attribution required although it’s appreciated if you give a shout-out to the photographer that snapped the picture because then, you will give him more exposure. It’s a win-win situation. All you have to do is search for a particular thing like “cup”,” plane”,” laptop” etc and a bunch will come up for you to select and all you need to do is download it and you’re good to go.
Their website is even better as you can search based on colors. How cool is that?
Snapseed:
a great photo editing app that I love using especially for my flat lays. It has soo many tools that you can use and it’s completely free!
The remaining folders contain other apps that I use but not as much as the ones I mentioned above, hence I won’t talk about them but here is what is in the remaining folders;
Video folder
Islam folder
Reading folder
Shop folder
Games folder
Others folders
5 apps you need to have on your phone right away!
Like I said, I will be mentioning 5 apps I think everyone should have whether you’re a blogger or a college student or just a mom. These apps will help you stay organized, finding inspiration, and staying motivated.
They are
Asana: for planning and jotting
Pinterest: for finding inspiration and solutions
Snapseed: for editing pictures
Grammarly: for proofreading your writing and
Twitter: to see what’s happening around the world, to make genuine internet friends, and connect with great minds.
There you go, my entire phone. I hope you enjoyed this post. Make sure you share it and follow me on my social media accounts. What apps can you not live without? Let me know in the comments section.

I love this! I was looking for some useful app to download and you really inspired me. I’m really curious to try out Unfollowers and VSCO CAM as I’ve always find positive comments about them. I’m glad you find the WordPress app good. I’ve tried to publish post with it but I need to write them on the laptop first, it’s so much time consuming trying to type them on the iPhone.
