I know how exciting it is when you’re looking forward to a big day. But what if that big day is tomorrow? If you’re like me, you probably won’t be able to sleep. This big day could be your birthday, a family vacation, your graduation day, or your first day of college.
I still remember my first day at college like it was just yesterday. If you would love storytime, let me know in the comments and I will tell you all about how it went down and all the crazy things that happened.
As I said, I wasn’t able to sleep. I didn’t know what to expect on my first day. The first day of college is way different from the first day of high school. Luckily for me, I have 2 elder siblings who helped me to prepare for my big day, and today, I will be helping you get ready for your big day.
In today’s post, I will be talking about all you need to do the night before your first day of college if you want to have a fantastic first day. Without any further delay, let’s get into it.
Pack your bag pack
Table of Contents
Make sure you have everything you will need the following day. Check your pens, books, syllabus and any other thing you think will be important on your first day. What I love to do first is to write down everything I will need and then place each item into my backpack while crossing it off from my list. That helps me to not forget anything. Check out what’s in my backpack to have a sneak peek.
Choose your outfit
Choosing your outfit the night before will save you almost 30 minutes the next day. No matter how tired you’re, make sure you have your outfit ready for your big day. Since it’s going to be your first day and you don’t know what to expect, always dress modestly and put on something you will be super comfortable in. I don’t mean you should dress like a hobo but wear a cute comfy outfit. My go-to place for outfit inspirations has to be Pinterest. Scroll through Pinterest and come up with a great look. Always remember that your first impression matters a lot.
Watch some first day videos on YouTube
This is optional but I will recommend it. Watching first day videos on YouTube is such a fun way to feel less nervous and get you more excited. I watched a lot of those the night before my first day at college and it helped me in so many ways. If you can find first day videos from YouTubers went to / are going to the same college you’re going. Watch everything. You get to see your school in the eyes of a fellow student and it’s like having a mini-tour around your campus.
Pray
Pray your first day will be a great one. Pray that this new journey you’re about to embark on will be the beginning of something great. When you pray, you feel better and more Prepared because you know that God is with you and nothing could go wrong so just pray.
Do your skincare routine
Like I said, your first impression matters a lot. Do your skincare routine. Apply a face mask, groom your eyebrows, and scrub your lips. Make sure you apply your serums and spot treatment so that you will be glowing in the morning. Here is my detailed skincare routine as a college student.
clean your room
This is the perfect time to clean your room because you won’t have the time to do so in the morning. Pack all the clothes lying around and place them in the right places. Arrange your table and get rid of those water bottles.
Sleep early
Early to bed, early to rise. Make sure you have at least 8 hours of sleep before your big day. Sleeping early will not only help you to wake up early the next day but you will wake up feeling energized and bright.
That’s all I have for you. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did while writing it. I know how super exciting it can be when you are finally going to college so here are more college-related posts to ginger you even more:
