What is the beauty of Joseon Revive serum?
This serum was formerly known as the Beauty Of Joseon Repair serum. It is a lightweight serum enriched with 63% ginseng root water and 3% snail mucin. It deeply hydrates the skin to prevent skin aging and pigmentation for clear youthful skin.
The ingredient list was what caught my eye and I just knew I had to try this serum out. I mean, take a look at the key ingredients and some of their benefits.
Beauty of Joseon revive serum key ingredients
63% Ginseng Root Water (Anti-winkle & Anti-pigmentation)
The ‘saponin’ abundantly contained in ginseng is effective in preventing pigmentation and wrinkles caused by UV rays. It is known to promote hydration (moisturization effect) of the skin, which helps protect it from external stimuli by retaining moisture deep in the skin for a long time.
3% Snail mucin (Repairing damaged skin and scars)
It promotes the regeneration of skin cells to help restore damaged skin and prevent skin aging. It contains collagen and elastin that help maintain skin elasticity, synergistically improving wrinkles with ginseng.
Cornus officinalis
It was commonly used as a herbal medicine in the Joseon era. It is effective for skin brightening and anti-wrinkle.
Licorice
Licorice contains full of anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

My thoughts on the beauty of Joseon revive serum
This is such a great serum to add to your skincare routine. I didn’t really notice a huge improvement but I have to say my skin tone has improved and my fine lines are gone. I like how the serum is not sticky and has no fragrance. Considering the fact that there is ginseng inside which has a strong earthy smell, I’m impressed!
Texture and Consistency
The Beauty of Joseon Revive Serum has a lightweight and silky texture that absorbs quickly into the skin. It is not sticky or greasy, which makes it perfect for daytime use. The serum is also very hydrating, leaving my skin feeling plump and moisturized.

Final thoughts
Im going to give this serum a 4/5 rating. I can see myself reaching for it often during summer because of how lightweight it is. This serum has a very gentle formula so don’t expect quick results with this one. However, if you’re looking for an excellent barrier support serum, I will highly recommend it.
Do I see myself repurchasing it? No, simply because I feel like there are better serums out there that can give me the results I want and quicker. If looking for something like that as well, check out my post on the best Korean products for hyperpigmentation.
Do I regret purchasing it? Absolutely not! This is the great serum for when your skin needs to heal after so many Actives and when you’re simply looking for some extra skin Barrier support.
