In this decade, many of us will finally be in our 20s. Growing up around my siblings and cousins that are already in their 20s, I have to say it is confusing yet the most exciting time of your life.

As I am turning 20 this year, I felt like I was already running out of time. I felt like if I didn’t get my sh*t together before I turn 20, my future will be ruined.
My parents and siblings Were around so we spoke about it, even some strangers I met at the grocery store who seemed to have their life together. I was just searching for the answers to the never-ending questions that my brain kept thinking about
What should I do in my 20s?
Is my life on the right track?
How can I make my dreams come true?
Is there still hope for me?
They gave me some good advice (that I am about to share with you), and they were able to convince me that there is still HOPE for me.
I still didn’t stop there. I referred to some great books, I listened to all sort of podcasts and watched a lot of ted talks and YouTube videos. After spending so many hours, I finally found what I was looking for. And the answer was even better than I expected: “it is completely normal to feel like you’re running out of time and you might not be able to succeed as you’re about to enter your 20s. The truth is this is just the beginning.”
That was it. That last sentence was all I needed to hear. This is just the beginning. My dreams are still valid and I still have enough time to make them come true.
The end.
Today’s post is going to be all about how to start your 20s with a bang. And if you’re already in your 20s, this post will serve as a reminder to you. I will be talking about the things you need to do in your 20s. All of the things mentioned were given to me as advice and things I plan on using as well. They will also include things that I learned in 18 years that are still very relevant.
Without any further delay, let’s get into it

Things to do in your 20s
Improve your relationship with God
I can’t overemphasize this one. When I wrote that post about 18 things I learned in 18 years, this was my first point there and it is still the first here as well. Let me tell you something, if your relationship with God is not good, nothing in your life will turn out good. Try and get closer to God and watch how your life will gradually fall in place.
Make your health your second priority
They said health is wealth and they didn’t lie. You have to be healthy before you can achieve anything so make that a priority in your life. Eat healthily, exercise regularly, and don’t forget to take care of your mental health as well. It’s very important as well.
Spend more time with your family
Family is everything. If you’ve been distant, this is the perfect time to get closer and fix any broken bonds. Attend family functions, start spending more time with your parents, and create fun memories with your cousins and siblings. At the end of the day, nobody will have your back like family.
Work on your passion
We all have something we love doing or want to start doing. That could be maybe starting a small fashion brand, opening your first Etsy shop, or working on your photography skills. Start putting more effort into something you want to see blow up.
Sometimes, we think that because the market is saturated, we might not be able to succeed because nobody will even notice our work, get rid of that mindset. Just the way we are all different people, we also have different things we can bring to the table. You’re not late. You just need to start.
Learn new things
It could be a new language or new recipes. Just never stop learning. There are a lot of things you can learn that will help you in your personal and career development. Udemy and Skillshare offer thousands of courses. There will surely be something for you to learn that you might like. Sign up today and start learning from the comfort of your home.
Learn to unlearn
This is even harder than learning. Learn to unlearn things when you find out they are misleading and wrong, especially information.
Set goals for yourself and work on them every day
Always have something you’re looking forward to. Work on something every day that will help you in the future. Here is a simple step you can follow
–plan out your week
–plan your day
-try and crush all your goals
When it comes to being productive, I have 3 apps I use on my phone to stay organized and productive. They seriously help me a lot. I also love writing my to-do list in my productive planner so that I can glance at it now and then.
That’s all I have learned so far about things to do in your 20s and I hope you were able to pick up a few things as well. It’s also very important you get rid of some toxic habits and start picking up the habits of successful people. Your 20s are the most important years of your life so don’t ruin it but make sure you have fun as well.
