Do you some times wake up and just binge-watch your favorite show on Netflix and scroll through social media and before you know it the day is over and you haven’t accomplished anything? I totally know the guilt you feel afterward and then you promise yourself to be productive the next day and end up doing the same thing as yesterday. That needs to change.
It’s okay to have lazy days once in a while but it shouldn’t become a daily routine. In this post, I will be showing you how to make your day 10 times more productive and still have fun. You will surely enjoy it if you try it at least once.
Wake up as early as possible
Table of Contents
When you wake up early, you have more time in a day to get so many things done. I wake up around 6 when I am in college and 9 when I’m at home. When you wake up, don’t carry your phone. If you do so, you will find yourself spending hours scrolling through your social media accounts and before you know it, the day is almost. After waking up, say your morning prayers, meditate for about 10 mins and then go and brush your teeth. That is the first step to a productive day. if you will like to have an idea about the things I do every night that help me to get up very early in the morning, then check out this post about 10 things I do every night before bed.
Get small tasks done as soon as possible
Small tasks include making your bed immediately you get up, taking a shower to feel more awake and eating breakfast. Anything that you could do under 5 minutes should be done during this period. here is an amazing list of 10 things to do before 10 am if you want a little motivation.
Write down all you want to do for the day
Make sure you prioritize. You should tackle the most important tasks on your list first. I love time blocking when doing tasks because I feel like I get soo much done in a short period. Make sure you take breaks in between each task to avoid burning out. at the beginning of every week, I try to plan out my entire week in my favorite phone apps that I use to stay organized and that helps a lot too.
Avoid distractions
Stay away from social media as much as you can if you still have tasks to do. If there is any other thing that always diverts your attention, stay away from it.
Reward yourself
At the end of the day, make sure you reward yourself for all the tasks you accomplished. Do you want to catch up with your favorite show? Reward yourself with a few episodes. Make sure you review your progress at the end of the day and see how far you’ve gone. If you couldn’t complete anything, write it down in your tomorrow’s todo list.
That’s all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did while writing it. I hope You make great use of this period to achieve all the things you have always wanted to achieve. Stay home, stay safe.
